Dear Friend of Hocking County,

For almost forty years, the Hocking County Children’s Chorus (HCCC) has been providing
the young folks of our county opportunities to explore and develop their talents in music,
performance, and theater. A United Way Agency, the HCCC is open to all children of
Hocking County in grades two through eight. This includes children in public schools,
private schools, and those who are homeschooled. The chorus is open to children of all
abilities; this year, 69 children from 64 families registered for our Chorus!

The HCCC works to enrich the lives of both the youth of Hocking County as well as its
communities. The chorus performs at various local events throughout the year, represents
Hocking County in annual parades and Music Festivals, and holds an annual Christmas
Concert. All of these events are free of charge and open to the public. We complete each
year with a musical theater presentation.

On May 19, 20, the Hocking County Children’s Chorus will present Rodgers &
Hammerstein’s “The Sound of Music” at the Logan High School Theater. This classic tale
is set in Salzburg, Austria, where a young woman studying to become a nun is sent to the
villa of a retired naval officer and widower, in order to be governess to his seven children.
After bringing love and music into the lives of the family through kindness and patience,
she marries the officer and together with the children they find a way to survive the loss of
their homeland through courage and faith. This wildly popular show is treasured by many
generations, and our children have been working hard to bring the well-loved tale and
beautiful music to life.

As a small non-profit organization, we rely heavily on the generosity and support of our
community. We will have a Patron Page in our musical program, and kindly ask you to
consider sponsoring our children.

Sponsorship is broken down as follows:

DOE-A- DEER PATRON: $25 - $49

You/your company will also be recognized as a valuable partner to the Hocking County
Children’s Chorus on our Community Partners page.

We hope you will consider donating to this wonderful cause for our children. In order to be
included in the program, donations should be received by Friday May 4. Please indicate
how you would like your name or business to appear.
